I started doing morning pages in January when I started The Artist’s Way with a group. It’s been so good for me to mostly keep up with the daily habit! Artist’s dates are harder for me with 3 kids who play sports and a part-time job... but looking forward to doing some this summer. I love that you “broke the rules” and did them together. It’s finding what works, right?
I went to a zine market at our Writers Festival last weekend and thought "most of them are what — $3? How bad can it get?" and spent SO MUCH MONEY. And yes, so much joy.
I think my ideal artist date would be wandering around an older house with carte blanche to poke at all of the furniture and see how it’s built. Or sitting in a cafe surreptitiously listening to conversations, looking for ways to understand what makes people tick.
